Basilisk II PSP Port (Test 20): 68k Macintosh Emulator

J.F.’s Basilisk II port for the PSP is nearing the release candidate stage. Test release 20 brings forth a whole whack of improvements relating to the FPU emulation.

With Basilisk II you’re able to emulate the Mac Classic and the Mac II series running MacOS 0.x through 8.1. You’ll need to obtain both the MacOS and Macintosh ROM image separately. As well, any compatible Mac software you wish to use.

First generation PSP (Fat) owners may take advantage of J.F.’s IR keyboard implementation. There isn’t much feedback concerning IR keyboard support yet; however, I’ll report back later when I have the opportunity to test that out — likely this evening sometime.   • Color video display
  • CD quality sound output
  • Floppy disk driver (only 1.44MB disks supported)
  • Driver for HFS partitions and hard files
  • CD-ROM driver with basic audio functions
  • Easy file exchange with the host OS via a “Host Directory Tree” icon on the Mac desktop
  • Ethernet driver
  • Serial drivers
  • SCSI Manager (old-style) emulation
  • Emulates extended ADB keyboard and 3-button mouse
  • Uses UAE 68k emulation or (under AmigaOS and NetBSD/m68k) real 68k processor
